Numerous times while I was creating my first mission, I would go to the forums. I couldn't find anything that was in the same spot with as much detail as I needed. I work better with pictures. I'm not ignorant all the way through; so, I know when something is missing or something isn't right. I almost left smallworlds because I was so confused and frustrated. Well, so far I have compiled pictures of what I have done in my missions as well as what some people have discussed. Hopefully, I will not have forgotten anything. If so, I'm sure there are two people right off who will inform (in a nice way of course). I don't want anyone of my fellow mateys get frustrated like I was, I only did it for them. if you already know how, keep moving on.
First, Decide what you are going to use to start your mission. I used a scroll.

the wrench is called a spanner. For now on, This is the term I will use.
click on it.

Ok. When you click on the spinner this window will show, but without anything in it except for the default button. First, click add because you are going to add a button. Second, you will label the button (the name of YOUR mission). Third, no default action. Next picture.

You will keep clicking this button for each task. You can have as many as needed. I had almost 30 on one of mine.

Now, this one is used to find more than one object within a task, i.e. barrels, crates, jewels, keys, windows, etc. Before you save on tasks this complex and more complex always read the helpful part. It will help you to make sure your did this part of the task correctly.

I used 8 objects on this one. two rings and 6 jewels. you will do this to every object that is within this task. Even if you have 50. Note: if you have 50 objects to find then the number on the task window will be 50. (10 was for i.e.)
